    Care Pathways by RISE offers a nursing assistant (NA) training program that sets learners up to become certified nursing assistants (CNA) through EMT Associates. This 6-week in-person program provides expert instruction, mentorship, and impactful personal support services on your path to career advancement. Program Participants are responsible for attending all classroom, labs, clinicals, and testing between Tuesday, November 10, 2026 and Tuesday, December 15,2026.   • Minimum Requirements to participate

    Each applicant must meet the minimum requirements of Care Pathways' training program to be considered as a candidate.

  • Are you comfortable working around bodily fluids? CNAs often work with blood, urine, feces, etc.*

  • Urine Analysis Drug Screening


    A requirement for clinical eligibility and employment at participating healthcare facilities is successfully passing a urine analysis (UA or Urinalysis) drug screening.

    Please note that this screening includes testing for marijuana. While marijuana is legal under Oregon state law, it remains illegal under federal law. Marijuana may remain detectable in your system for 30 days or longer, depending on usage.

    Please do not drink too much water before your drug test. Drinking a lot of water can make your test result invalid. Invalid test results will not be accepted, and you will not be able to take the test again. This will affect your ability to stay in the program or get hired by a healthcare facility.

    Drug screening will be conducted at the start of the program and may also be required as a condition of employment by healthcare facilities. Program team may also require a UA drug screening throughout the program for reasonable suspicion. Failure to pass the UA drug screening may result in dismissal from the program or termination of an employment offer.

    Many hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities maintain zero-tolerance drug policies and may deny employment or terminate employees who test positive, including for legal or medical marijuana use.

  • This is a fast-paced, 6-week program. If you miss a lab day, there is only one make-up day available. If you miss a clinical day, there is only one make-up day available.

  • Program Participants are responsible for attending all classroom, labs, clinicals, and testing between Tuesday, November 10, 2026 and Tuesday, December 15,2026.

    Program dates and times are subject to change as the schedule is finalized.

    If you have any prior commitments during this time frame that you aren't able to miss, we ask that you keep this program in mind to join at a later date.
